The idea behind this innovative cladding and roofing product was born out of an encounter with the
limits of the feasible: it turned out to be virtually impossible for untreated wood in accordance with the European fire criteria of fire reaction class B.
The Forestlines ® profile is revolutionary because an intelligent aluminium extrusion profile is attached to a wooden profile to improve the fire class of the untreated (!) wood. The aluminium strip reduces the flammable area per square metre, less heat is developed and there is a transfer between the highly insulating wood and superconducting aluminium, which absorbs the heat and even provides cooling.
